During maintenance on Tuesday, Blizzard pushed some changes to the BRD pet dungeon to Therin Skysong, Alran Heartshade, & Zuna Skullcrush. This should help to further stabilize strategies, and reduce RNG. Since changes have been made, we'd advice any strategy creators for the dungeon to test their strats to see how the changes have impacted said strategies. What's that, no more outdated collections...? Yep! As part of the updates I'm doing, I've now also added a function that keeps your collection up to date. As long as the character details that are saved with your collection are correct, Xu-Fu now updates your collection every 48h. So as long as you're not going on a crazy pet shopping spree, you should have a smooth experience browsing strategies here :-) And even if, you can still manually update your collection any time.

I just updated the Pet Collection Viewer because Blizzard made changes to their armory connection that I and many other pages are using. The patch is live and with it the usual suspects - API problems ^^ Importing or updating your pet collection from the armory currently returns zero pets. This is an issue on Blizzards side and we'll need to wait until it's been addressed. Introducing another language in which Xu-Fu is available as of now. WoW is translated to this language since quite a few years ago, and the community using it is a large one, yet often unheard or underrepresented. That makes me even more happy to announce that the third language Xu-Fu's Guides are now translated into is Russian! A big ÑÐ¿Ð°ÑÐ¸Ð±Ð¾ - thank you - to Lea! Patch 7.1 hit the servers, and it did something we were all afraid of: it closed the loophole for Family Familiar. Various sources confirm, it is no longer possible to battle the trainers with characters that do not have the world quests unlocked. From now on, we need to complete this achievement the way it probably was intended from the start: slowly. Sorry for the sad news to everyone who was not able to finish the achievement so far (including myself!). We'll get there, eventually :-)

I'm still on my way through Val'sharah, although now the scenery changed quite drastically. The story around Malfurion, Ysera and Tyrande is definitely worth a play through. Howlbomb in Legion, or not?

One of the more recent announcements by Blizzard is a huge change to the well-known "Howl bomb" strategy. As a quick recap, the classic howlbomb uses the Pandaren Water Spirit and Chrominius. Todays Legion Alpha Update brought many new items, models, maps and changes, but also one particular new item that is of high interest to every avid pet battler: a so called Pocket Pet Portal! Preparations are ongoing for the arrival of An Awfully Big Adventure, which is almost ready to be added! Only a few more strategies to do and I will put it live. After the Celestial Tournament I wanted to do something a bit less challenging, and the Beasts of Fable were exactly the right thing to do. They are one of the easier challenges in the Pet Battling world, yet I wanted to provide some variety to the strategies and it still took some time to gather everything up. Now it's time and the Beasts of Fable section is unlocked! 10 fights, and 59 alternatives to choose from. If you have not defeated them yet, now is the time :-)

A small update, but a big one. The top menu here was always a concern because simply put I was running out of space! So the most obvious solution to give me more room for additional categories, but preserving the style, was a drop-down menu. VoilÃ ! It is done! Today is the start of this years Hallow's End event, introducing three new pets: Ghastly Rat Ghost Maggot Spectral Spinner You can obtain them by buying some Creepy Crawlers and applying them to your Garrison. When I added the Tanaan Jungle pets with patch 6.2, I just added them one by one without thinking about the order. One of my regular visitors, Zoltar, made a great suggestion to change that and include an optimized route.
