For me to make this work I needed to put in an Arcane Blast before the Life Exchange after Conviction came in.

Same I do an Arcane blast first, then get hit twice before the Life exchange goes off. This way does more dmg and a bigger heal.

This strategy worked well for me. The first try, I chose a L10 carry pet, but she fell to Dignity's Tidal Wave back-line damage. Due to RNG, the entire battle took a little longer than it should have, based on the battle details above. I would have still won, but forfeited and restarted with a L22 pet, just to be on the safe side. The second try, RNG was in my favor and things went faster, with Conviction dying a turn or two sooner than expected. Completed the battle & L22 was now L25. Good strategy for me. Thanks, folks.

Excellent strat, here's a script for it

if [enemy(#1).active]
ability(Moonfire)
ability(Arcane Blast)
endif
if [enemy(#2).active]
ability(Alpha Strike:504)
change(#2) [enemy.round=4]
ability(Life Exchange)
ability(Arcane Blast)
endif
if [self(#2).active]
change(Nether Faerie Dragon:557)
endif
if [self(Nether Faerie Dragon:557).dead]
change(Ashwing Moth:1324)
endif
if [enemy(#3).active]
ability(Moth Dust:508)
ability(Alpha Strike:504)

This strat does not work at all with a S/S NFD. I switched to my P/P after 3 attempts and it worked fine.

P/P Nether Faerie nearly solo'd this with a good crit (yay rng) on Conviction. Dignity was left with 107hp and my lvl 21 pet took him out with a normal attack. Perhaps the breed matters in this case?

My H/P managed most of this strat with no problem, except that it died before finishing off Conviction. But good old teroclaw did the job. Also, someone suggested using a lvl 10 pet...nope. Mine died. lvl 15 however survived to level up. It seems that the power breeds are better for this fight.

Tried this strat 5 times now and it's failing miserably. I'm up against the second pet and my dragon's dead, the hatchling is at 126 hp and still no dark rebirth.

Just did on 6 different toons, works every time, using a P/P Nether Faerie Dragon. Mostly kills Conviction without giving a chance for Dark Rebirth.

I just did this fight easily using Toxic Wasteling, Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, and Ikky. I ended up not even having to use Ikky for the fight.
Corrosion
Expunge
Ooze Touch
Repeat till the Wasteling dies, then use the Dragonling's Decoy, Bombing Run, and Breath till everything else is dead

After bringing the Teroclaw back in, I have to do Alpha Strike x 1-2 times, Dodge, Alpha Strike x 1-2 times to finish off Beauty otherwise if I don't use dodge when Whirlpool has 1 round left, my Teroclaw dies every single time and my level pet won't survive on it's own being the only pet left and alive...

Yeah as others have said, don't know why 2-1-1 on NEther, as it will die before conviction, or with him still with a lot of health. Should take 2-2-1 for the healing.

When Conviction comes out use Evanescence to dodge Eyeblast, Arcane Blast till almost dead which allows to bring leveling pet out. Conviction casts Dark Rebirth, swap back to Nether Faerie Dragon. Conviction usually kills it, at which point bring out Teroclaw Hatchling. Kill Conviction. When Dignity comes out, Nature's Ward, Alpha Strike, Dodge the when Whirlpool is at 1, then Alpha Strike till Dignity is dead. This was the only was I could use this setup with a leveling pet :)

Thanks Sabryna this is what worked for me to. Faerie(2-1-1) died on Dark Rebirth but I bought leveling pet in anyway and then swapped immediately to Teroclaw. Cast dodge and natures ward and then alpha strike until he was dead. When Dignity came in for me it was best to alpha strike x 2/dodge Whirlpool/natures ward/alpha strike until he was dead. Teroclaw ended up with full hp game over :)

Thank you, I use this strat every time I do this fight and it hasn't failed me once. I think this should replace the other strat or at least be an additional alternative for people without the right breeds, etc. It's a lot more reliable.
