THE most awful battle ever. Used almost 100 pet revivals and haven't been even close......7/10 fights wont' last more than 3 rounds cause life exchange pet dies. Cannot figure out better tactic with my pets but just too random......

Life Exchange from Yu'la hits for 658, Call Darkness from the Dark Whelpling hits for 256.
658 + 256 = 914
Snozz's hp = 1879
1879 - 914 = 965
914 < 965
This strat doesn't work unless you crit on your 1st Tail Sweep.
Good luck.

This fight is ridiculous. Not only do you need Flank to hit twice on three separate occasions, you also need Claw to roll high to proc your Dragonkin passive, not miss anything during Call Darkness, and not get hit by a single crit. I completed every other fight needed for the meta-achievement, and this one singlehandedly made me give up. Don't bother unless you REALLY want it.

I wouldn't recommend it, but without Azure Whelpling I had to use Yu'la, Dark Whelpling and Emmigosa. Emmigosa also has Tail Sweep and Call Darkness. I followed the exact same moves: Life Exchange, Call Darkness, Tail Sweep, Claw and Surge of Power. Claw hit very hard and that was the difference. Took at least 15 attempts. Yu'la often died before Life Exchange.

This fight stinks. I only had these pets. after banging my head for hours on this. I realized something very wrong with this. Azure Whelpling should be in slot 2. Why - because call darkness does not proc the dragonkin buff (50% health), but claw Does! Here is how to do this.
Yu'la: pass (hope for no crit) Azure comes in
Azure: Switch to Yu'la
Yu'la Life: Exchange (hope for 2 hits no crits)
Azure: Claw (Get Dragonkin Buff), Claw again (not SoP - that messes with the cadence)
Swap to Yu'la - sacrifice him (not Azure)
Dark Whelpling: Call Darkness (Get Dragonkin Buff), Tail Sweep
Azure: Claw (get Dragonkin buff), Surge of Power
Finally!!

I wish I could upvote this a million times. As long as you can avoid the triple hits or crits, this works perfectly. Burned through 200 bandages before i tried this one. Took about a dozen attempts before the RNGods were in my favor, but it worked beautifully. Much love!

This didn't work for me. Maybe this has changed since you all did it, but the switch is based on hp not what slot your pet is in. My dark whelpling gets switched in no matter what.

If Yu'la dies, abandon. Then swap Sprite Darter Hatchling or Nether Faerie Dragon. Then try again. Unless you have tons of bandages and do not mind healing Yu'la over and over again.

THIS works!!! I tried literally every other strategy here and on the internet, this one is the key. Got it within 4 tries after 200+ of other attempts. I did not have an Infinite Whelpling, cost was 300k+ on AH, twilight clutch-sister was not on AH, and the yu'la / dark whelpling / chrominium did not work (on the VERY rare chance i made it to the end of the fight, surge of power never critted in 15+ times)

Still extremely RNG but this is the comp I finally got to work:
Nether Faerie Dragon (2, 2, 1)
Dark Whelpling (2, 2, 1)
Chrominius (1, 1, 2)

Pass - Chrominius is swapped in
Swap Nether back in
Life Exchange
Pass - Chrominius is swapped in
(IMPORTANT, IF CHROMINIUS IS CRIT OR HIT THREE TIMES, THIS MIGHT NOT WORK!)
Bite
Howl
Swap to Nether
Nether is killed, Dark Whelpling is swapped in
Call Darkness (dragonkin buff is triggered)
Tail sweep until swap
Chrominius is swapped in
Bite
Surge of Power
(IMPORTANT, SURGE OF POWER CRIT FOR ME SO THAT MIGHT BE ESSENTIAL)

I think it definitely requires RNG, but less than some of the others I've tried. This was my last one, and I finally finished the achievement with this strat. Thank you! (Snozz missed a portal attack on the dark whelpling so I got 1 extra tail sweep in, without crits or misses, I finished at about 50 HP left on snozz a few times.

After several dozen attempts (I went through about 25 pet bandages plus a lot of "Revive Battle Pet" spells in between) I finally got my first crit on a bite. That's all it took for the strat to work out (you don't have to have the crit on the final Surge of Power, as you only need to pick up an extra 90 damage somewhere in the fight). Thanks for the strategy, as it was the only one that I had all the pets for!

Thank you Caustic, for your strat!! I was having so much trouble with the RNG even with this strat, what I ended up doing after just barely not finishing him off one too many times is swapping out the Dark Whelpling and using the Nightmare Whelpling (2,1,1) then after the Call Darkness, I followed it with Nightmare instead of Tail Sweep to ensure zero healing. This way the Surge of Power only has to land, not crit!

If you do not have Infinite whelpling or Lil'Deathwing:

This is a strat that I found in the comments here:
Credits to Henry Chan
https://www.wow-petguide.com/index.php?Strategy=1491
and I am simply copying because it worked on the 1st try

Yu'la (X, Celestial Blessing, Life Exhange)
Nightmare Whelpling (Tail Sweep, Call Darkness, Nightmare)
Twillight Clutch-Sister (Tail Sweep, Prismatic Barrier, Twilight Metorite)

Start with an INJURED Yu'la
1) Pass (on Yu'la )
Restart

Yu'la - (staring with about 957hp) - pass
Nightmare Whelpling - Swap to Twillight Clutch-Sister
Twillight Clutch-Sister - Prismatic Barrier
Swap to Yu'la
Yu'la - Celestial Blessing
Yu'la - Life Exhange
Yu'la - Pass
Nightmare Whelpling - Call Darkness
Nightmare Whelpling - Nightmare (woot - we gimped Snozz's healing 100%!)
Nightmare Whelpling - Tail Sweep (if applicable)
Twillight Clutch-Sister - Twilight Metorite
Twillight Clutch-Sister - Tail Sweep

Worked first time for me too!! Make sure you re start the match with Yu'la down in health

Something to consider using this tactic; when you swap in Twilight Clutch-Sister, she will get hit by Flank before casting Prismatic Barrier. If she gets hit three times, her health drops below Yu'la's and after casting Nightmare with the Whelpling I found that Yu'la instead is brought in, as she had more health, even though I started with Yu'la down in health.

Instead of using Yu'la, I subbed in my Nether Faerie Dragon w/ 305H and 260S which meant he didn't die if there were 3 flanks instead of two (two flanks meant about 780 health from Snozz, 3 was more like 900). With that slight modification and following the strategy at the top he finally, finally died.
