Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

If you don't have a Val'Kyr, Clinging Remains from The Maw does this strat a turn faster since you can add a Bone Barrage on Turn 1.

Shailara wrote on 2018-12-09 17:37:11

Only used sister of temptation. Lovestruck on CD, Curse of Doom on CD, and Shadow Shock to fill.

Gráinne

This is a very viable strategy, I think. It worked for me with a P/B. I might write it up into a full strat!

Magicoo wrote on 2022-08-31 07:24:52

Sheesh thanks! I was having trouble and didn't have other listed pets and this worked so well! (edited)

Gráinne

Thanks for posting that. It reminded me to go back and look. So I made it into a strat. A bit late now, but it may help someone new. :) (edited)

Shorter script, team still works like a charm:

standby [ self.aura(Stunned).exists ]
ability(Black Claw) [ !enemy.aura(Black Claw).exists ]
ability(#3)
change(#2)

The TD Script does it correctly, but the notes here should say: "Turn 3: Curse of Doom", and then continue on as listed.
Turn 1: Pass
Turn 2: Pass
Turn 3: Curse of Doom
Turn 4: Haunt

Turn 5: Bring in Ikky

Turn 6: Black Claw
Turns 7+: Flock

Kasuma

He dies before Curse of Doom goes off for me, so it's not needed.

zaftig

wrote on 2019-11-18 02:17:49

I think what Amber1019 is saying though is that the TD script is adding a curse of doom at turn 3. So, either the steps above need to be edited or the script does.

MiraxTerrik wrote on 2018-05-06 21:27:37

Ghastly Kid (2,2,2) worked perfectly, Ethereal to dodge the stun, haunt, then Ikky comes in and cleans up.

Eekwibble

wrote on 2018-09-18 14:35:41

Ghastly Kid is faster anyway so you can just use Haunt on round 1 and have it over in 4 rounds.

Viggers wrote on 2018-08-09 06:59:57

Worked well for me with Stormwing instead of Ikky. Just use call lightning instead of black claw and then Flock.

Odin

I replaced Ikky with Stormwing. Call lighnting > Flock.

Elimae wrote on 2017-06-16 20:19:36

I found this strat on the web and used it. It worked like a charm. I used it for all 3 boss fights. Two turkeys. Peck and Food Coma. Food coma > switch turkey > peck, food coma > switch turkey - continue until the boss is dead. Turkeys take no damage at all because the boss is constantly stunned with food coma.

Drakuul wrote on 2017-06-18 17:04:06

That takes to long

Amalle wrote on 2017-08-24 21:21:45

This was long, but it worked very well. Thanks!

G1zStar#1932

wrote on 2018-01-03 11:21:31

Used this again as I didn't mind spamming tdScript in the background

TD Script

ability(Peck:112) [self.round=1 & round != 1]
ability(Food Coma:580)
change(#2) [self(#1).active]
change(#1) [self(#2).active]

stencil wrote on 2017-07-31 03:17:18

Slight optimization - start with a pet that has Feign Death. That way you only lose one round to the clobber instead of two and there's no chance of your valk dying and therefore missing haunt. Also, for the pet after Haunt, I use a Macabre Marionette with Dead Man's Party for the double damage debuff but there are many options there that would work just fine.

Mhoramsgirl wrote on 2017-10-20 17:36:28

This worked great. Used my Royal Peachick for Feign Death. Unborn swapped in. I added the old Curse of Doom/Haunt combo for added insurance. Ikky did the rest. Thanks for the FD suggestion!

Palathos wrote on 2017-07-05 07:11:23

Instead of passing the first 2 turns, you can switch to a levelling pet and switch back.

Draculja wrote on 2017-07-09 09:06:18

This is an awesome idea.. especially with hat, food and the pet battle event.. gained a nice amount of XP.

KEQ wrote on 2017-06-22 07:55:02

I used the Wicked Soul (1/2/1) since it was easier to find/buy than the Unborn Val'kyr. Basically used the same strat, Pass, Pass, Shadow Shock, Haunt, then brought in Ikky.

Stella wrote on 2017-06-17 10:00:40

Haunt MISSED. It still worked, but that must be another cheat mechanic.

Remte

wrote on 2017-06-17 16:01:06

It looks like your undead pet did cast it during the damned round, what renders the spell useless (though, sadly, it's never mentioned). Are you sure there was any damage dealt?

Rachel wrote on 2017-06-16 00:06:49

Stormwing 1,1,2 is a substitute for ikky

Aelfraed wrote on 2017-06-15 22:58:25

icky was level 24, very low xp. in case you are wondering.

Bryllya wrote on 2017-06-15 15:21:49

I used Creepy Crate - Agony, Curse of Doom, then two Zandalari with Black Claw and Flock.

Remte

wrote on 2017-06-14 02:29:58

Used Wicked Soul (didn't look up the Klutz' speed -.-) with Haunt straightforward, it counts as miss for his Clobber, the missing CoD wasn't needed at all so it can be done faster! :)

JoshuaAndrewN wrote on 2017-06-14 01:52:31

As with most Ikky strategies, a Zandalari pet can replace Ikky using Black Claw and Hunting Party.

Palathos wrote on 2017-06-13 20:24:37

Can level a level 1 pet. Turn 1: switch to levelling pet; Turn 2: switch back to unborn val'kyr
