A minor adaptation of this worked great! I used Eldritch Manafiend (1,2,1), then Erudite Manafiend (1,2,1), and since I didn't have another Manafiend leveled, I used Legs (1,1,1). I substituted Focused Beam for Arcane Blast and otherwise followed your strategy. Took two tries as an unlucky crit meant my second manafiend didn't get off Surge of Power. Thanks!

With the 2nd pet, I casted blast, Arcane Storm, and the Surge of Power. Then came in my Mini Mindslayer with Mana Surge and finished the fight!

Used 3 Eldritch Manafiends with OP's strat...tried to start with Arcane Storm for added damage, but it failed due to RNG crit on 2nd Manafiend getting killed before Surge...didn't test AS a 2nd time, just followed above strat to the letter, worked perfectly :)

A strat that uses slightly more common pets:

Lofty Libram (2,2,2)
Trunks (2,1,X)
Sapphire Cub (2,2,X) - this can probably be swapped for any level 25.

This isn't a difficult fight. Trunks is an absolute animal with smash being a beast attack and etheral avoiding the main nuke. Pretty much any comp built around Trunks can probably win.

I used the Minifernal and Netherspace Abyssal as described, but used an Eldritch Manafiend P/S 121 in the third slot because I don't have Trunks. When the Manafiend came in (after the Abyssal's explosion) a single Surge of Power finished the fight.

Blood Boil 2,2,1

Mana Surge turns 1-3, Life Exchange, Amp Magic, Pass, Mindslayer dies.
Bring in blood boil and use Expunge, Drain Blood, Ooze Touch.

Never need the third pet.

Gnasher only had 22hp by the time my Oily Slimeling died.

Untethered Wyrmling 1-1-2
Any lvl25 Magic pet, preferably a Manafiend with Surge of Power, just in case. The most health I saw him with at the point the 3rd pet came in was 287hp, but that was once in 10 fights, the rest were <200hp.

Turn 1. Headbutt
2. Ethereal
3+. Smash until Trunks dies
Bring in Wyrmling
1. Drain Power
2&3. Feedback
4. Deflection
5. Feedback
Either Gnasher and your Wyrmling both die here or he kills your Wyrmling and you bring in pet 3 to finish him in 1 hit.

Just tested with other Wyrmlings. It worked with all of them, even a lvl25 Uncommon H/P Mana Wyrmling, so any breed of Rare lvl25 Wyrmling will work.

Alternate option since I didn't have the two above. I think it's a reliable strat but it may be hit or miss.

Eldritch Manafiend: 1,2,1
Viscidus Globule: 1,2,1
Syd the Squid: 1,1,1

Arcane Blast 2-3 times and use Surge of Power right before it dies. Since Viscidus has the same moveset, follow the turns above involving Netherspawn. When Syd comes in, Whirlpool, Bubble, Water Jet.
