  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

as others have said this strat is RNG dependent on how much damage bloat's Diseased Bite does to your pets. If he crits or even hits you toward the upper threshold of the spell's damage then you probably won't make it. (edited)

Devsham wrote on 2018-06-22 01:32:27

Super Easy Strat

Squirky (1,2,2)
Corefire Imp (2,1,2)
Fiendish Imp (1,1,1)

Bubble
Swap to Corefire Imp
Rush
Rush
Wild Magic - If Corefire Imp dies after casting WM, bring in Squirky. Otherwise, pass and Corefire imp dies and then bring in Squirky.
Stampede until Squirky dies - bring in Fiendish Imp
Rush - Bloat dies

Potential to use different pets in the last slot as long as they are faster than Bloat since Bloat has Shattered Defenses debuff when last pet comes in

Still RNG dependent. Failed utterly 1st time, Kun=Lai Runt for the win 2nd time. Bloat hits hard!

Gladly#11647

wrote on 2021-10-06 14:50:24

Definitely some RNG on this strat. Seems like Anubisath needs to survive long enough to eat a Cannon shot. Took me three tries.

Mayzen

wrote on 2021-09-27 15:51:24

My Idol died on round 8 and I thought that was too early, but Bloat was half dead by then and the next round of Rampage by Flayer finished him, so I didn't even need Kun-Lai Runt.

Gabryella#1883

working at shadowlands, but a little rng

VanyaMia

wrote on 2021-08-15 07:03:05

Yeah. Took three tries before the Idol even managed to hit Bloat without dying while using a SB Flayer though he did absorb the second Antean Cannon, which is possibly why it worked.

Zhenton wrote on 2021-04-17 23:15:08

Took a few tries, but finally worked. I'm not sure it's good for any breed, as I had to get a crit on a rampage before it worked for me. My idol would die before any attack, and my flayer would die before the triple snap. But assuming you get the crit off (at least one) it works fine.

Lumaris1989

wrote on 2021-01-24 03:36:24

worked for me, but I had one crit on the enemy pet and it still was a close fight.

Essere wrote on 2021-01-10 10:39:58

It worked fine for me. Did not need to use Kun-Lai Runt at all. Thanks for posting this.

My Idol never got off a hit (he got crit), but strat still worked great first try, in SL.

Kiolna wrote on 2017-09-15 10:32:53

Used squirky 2/2/2 bonkers 2/2/1 and kun lai runt but I think any pet would work

Round 1: bubble
Round 2: stampede
Round 3: stampede continues
Round 4: stampede continues
Round 5: fish slap
Round 6: fish slap
Squirky dies
Round 7: dodge
Round 8: haymaker
Round 9: bonkers dies to canon
Round 10: any attack should kill him (I used thrash)

Lenoria wrote on 2017-09-16 17:54:51

Worked a charm! I might skip Haymaker, since it missed anyway and I Bite might have killed Bloat at that point.

Jaye wrote on 2017-09-04 21:07:32

if you're going to post strats that are breed-dependent--please say so. It's incredibly frustrating to be excited that you have all the pets you need only to find out that you also have to have specific breeds.

Tie wrote on 2017-10-29 15:12:49

Ttazi

wrote on 2020-05-16 16:11:05

Agreed. My S/B flayer does not cut it even though the strat advertises their breed as "any". My guess is that the 47 health Bloat had at the end of the fight would be 0 if my flayer was hitting harder.

Aeliel wrote on 2017-09-16 05:46:09

Worked just fine for me with a S/S Flayer Youngling. Didn't even need the Kun-Lai Runt.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-16 14:50:00

That's exactly what I had and I got my a$$ kicked. There's some RNG in the middle and the Idol might never get to Crush.

Xezia

wrote on 2020-03-28 21:58:01

A bit of RNG but SS flayer works well (and is needed)

Toenail

wrote on 2019-11-03 20:53:02

smashed twice. anubisath doesn't live long enough to get a crush off at round 8. flayer doesn't get off a triple snap after a deflection for cannon and a rampage. kun-lai gets off one rampage attack then dies. if my H/S flayer was faster it might make a difference, idk. too many 1k+ diseased bites (3) besides the "normal: hits of 700

AlisonC wrote on 2018-10-07 17:37:56

My Flayer was too slow and Squirky not high enough level, so:
Lil Bad Wolf - Deflection, then Pounce until dead
Anubisath Idol - Repeat Crush but make sure you Deflect a Diseased Bite so that he dies to Antean Cannon
Kun Lai Runt - Rampage
