Low XP
Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Wild Crimson Hatchling 1,2,1
Emmigosa 2,2,1
Yu'la, Broodling of Yu'lon 1,1,1

I went with this team mostly because my other dragons were not fast enough.

Turn 1 - Liftoff
Turn 2 - Scorched Earth
Turn 3 - Breath *dies*
Turn 4 - Wild Magic
Turn 5 - Breath
Turn 6 - Surge of Power *dies to voidgate*

The fight ended here for me, but you can just finish him with Yu'la's Breath if needed

TD Script

ability(Lift-Off:170) [enemy.hp.full]
ability(#1)

Pets 2 and 3 must be P/P for this strategy to work effectively. Anything else increases the chance of failure.

PocketMage

I used the P/P Infinite Hatchling in the 2nd slot and my P/S Stormborne Whelpling was able to cut it in slot 3.

Thank you both! This script and this team worked perfectly for me!

spearmoore wrote on 2018-11-05 11:35:55

used Wild Crimson..1,2,1..is always S/S
Bronze Whelping..1,2,1..also S/S
Nexus Whelping...1,x,x...P/S...same health as Bronze, slower but hits at 305
lift off
scorthed earth
breath
Crimson dies..Bronze in
lift off
Tail
Prison (to counter void)
tail
Bronze dies
Nexus in, full health
should only take 1 tail
did with me, your mileage may vary, Nexus ended with 71% health

wrote on 2018-06-09 00:05:18

Use Wild Crimson's Scorched Earth after Lift Off otherwise face a lot of RNG from the huge damage spread on Tail Sweep.

Do not do the moves as listed (Breath x2).

Mergas wrote on 2018-06-29 22:05:46

Tried it as written, with an S/S, P/B and P/P. Didn't work. Tried it with the same pets with your modification. Yours worked! Thanks!

Satcomer

wrote on 2018-08-04 19:08:09

Thank you Scorched Earth worked much better

Clueless

wrote on 2018-08-20 18:11:32

Wish I had seen this earlier.
Tried just as Margas and nothing worked.
Your modification won on first try with a good margin!

Clueless

wrote on 2018-08-20 18:11:34

Original strat worked only after 11 tries, due to RNG

skarpethinn

wrote on 2018-09-27 10:20:08

As it is written, this strat faces too much RNG - especially if the Corrupted Blood crits even once; with this modification, got it first go!

NSS wrote on 2017-09-30 15:35:46

Used Ysa's strat (thx!) but instead of Emmigosa used Chrominius with Bite then Surge of Power so:
Wild Crimson Hatchling (121) Chrominius (1x2) Emerald Proto Whelp (121)

Lift-off to avoid the Void gate, Scorched Earth and then Breath (dies)
Chrominius comes in: Bite, then Surge of Power (dies)
Emerald Proto Whelp: Proto-Strike, Breath to finish.

Mags wrote on 2017-11-08 19:18:52

worked perfect thanks!

Panoramix

wrote on 2017-11-10 14:49:23

Good strategy, but seems to require a crit. My Emerald proto whelp kept dying on the last breath. Once i got a crit in, corrupted died on the proto-strike.

Happeria#1884

wrote on 2017-12-20 16:56:42

I was able to squeeze in an Emerald Presence at the beginning of the proto-whelp's turn and survived with 8 hp :) TY for the strat!

BlueSky

wrote on 2018-06-09 00:02:55

Great strat! Better than the one listed on this page but lost the EPW in the last round (9 hp then tick down) so both pets died and I got a loss.

Xweaz

wrote on 2018-06-03 13:25:53

Doesn't work as written - timing is wrong too. (P/S, P/B, H/S) Four attempts exactly as written and apparently entirely dependent on RNG. Turn 5 doesn't exist, either, as Yu'la gets forced out at the end of Turn 4. Fifth attempt tried to use Liftoff with every pet. Still doesn't work. Only try if you have a good stock of bandages and favor with the RNG gods.

Remte

wrote on 2018-06-03 14:07:32

The turn numbers have been corrected and the pet list made dynamic, with high speed/power pets put as initial template. Hope it is clearer now despite the feature's complexity.

Celtra

wrote on 2018-05-19 14:48:37

I don't have a bronze whelp so I used Lil' Deathwing instead. Worked on the first try.

Kati wrote on 2018-02-28 13:03:12

I didn't have Yu yet and I didn't want to wait a week to get her.

I used an S/S Phoenix Hawk Hatchling (1 2 2), Spawn of Onyxia P/B (2 1 1), and a Nexus Whelpling P/B (1 2 1)

Go in with Lift Off, Claw, Fly By
Then Tail Sweep and hope to the Light or Void that you get some crits.

Dreads wrote on 2017-12-19 02:42:11

Using the breeds above with what i had I could not do it. I had to change to my highest dmg P/? whelps which in my case were Onyixia whelpling P/B and Nexus P/P, when I did this I had no issues at all. Use your highest whelps with tail lash

Askania

wrote on 2018-01-05 10:31:41

I used Lil Deathwing and Spawn of Onyxia used scorch with Onyx and one slap to kill blood was much easier fight thanks for the tip.

TimboAZ

wrote on 2018-02-14 17:46:56

Great tip. I used P/P Nexus and Infinite whelplings after Yu'la.

Aola wrote on 2018-01-30 13:33:29

The way I managed to do this is by taking 2 dragons with high power, and both Tail Sweep and Lift-Off. Use Yu'la as given, then with your two other dragons, hit Lift-Off when there's 1 turn remaining on the cooldown for Void Gate, Tail Sweep otherwise. I got it with a P/P Spawn of Onyxia and P/H Wild Jade Hatchling.

Xahj wrote on 2017-09-12 11:26:58

I had terrible trouble getting the above to work without having an Infinite Hatchling to try, in the end I used;

Yu'la P/S (1,2,1)
Spawn of Onyxia P/P (2,2,2)
Bronze Whelpling P/P (2,1,1)

1. Lift-off, 2. Breath, 3.Breath, pet dies Spawn of Onyxia in
1. Scorched earth, 2. Tail sweep, pet dies Bronze Whelpling in
1. Tail sweep, 2.Tail sweep ( a couple of times I tried this the Blood died after 1 tail sweep)

Hedu wrote on 2017-09-17 20:25:56

This worked perfectly on the first try even though my Bronze Whelpling is S/S. Thanks for sharing!

Donsta wrote on 2017-09-23 19:33:56

This worked when the others did not. Thanks!

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-30 14:10:58

not working either

Pommie Tappet wrote on 2017-09-30 19:08:08

Thanks Xahj! This worked for me. I didn't have a P/P Bronze Whelpling but I did have a P/P Infinite Whelpling instead that did the job.

Nemy

wrote on 2018-01-11 17:46:58

This worked at first try! Used Spawn of Onyxia P/S and Bronze Whelpling S/S.

JacktheKnife wrote on 2017-09-30 14:49:31

Yula (1,1,1)
Emerald Proto Whelp (1,1,1)
Emerald Proto Whelp (1,1,1)

gets it done - just lift off first round and then bless ground before Yula dies, then with EPW use the lift to miss a bigger hit and breath to fill.

Chrisski wrote on 2017-10-07 06:17:22

This was a better strat that worked except I used Bronze Drake and Albino Chimaeraling.
Liftoff, Breath, Bless, pass, Liftoff, Tail Sweep until you get swapped out, Call Darkness, Tail Sweep win w/ plenty of health

Lamiena

wrote on 2018-01-05 18:26:43

Doesn't seem to work for me. Might be breed dependent, or more of that lovely RNG?

ChakalT

wrote on 2018-01-10 10:13:31

worked well.

Ysa wrote on 2017-09-13 12:44:33

Wild Crimson Hatchling (121) Emmigosa (221) Emerald Proto Whelp (121)
*my Wild Crimson Hatchling has 325 speed and Emmigosa 305*
Lift-off to avoid the Void gate, Scorched Earth and then Breath (dies)
Emmigosa comes in: Wild Magic, then Surge of Power (dies)
Emerald Proto Whelp: Proto-Strike to finish.

Huncamunca wrote on 2017-09-13 16:21:56

Thanks for the excellent strategy. Emmigosa and the Hatchling have only one breed, so there's no issue, but I think the EPW's breed matters. My P/P has the same health as Emmigosa, who came in on cue. P/B has more health (1465) so would have been forced in first.

Caolainne wrote on 2017-09-13 16:53:09

Great strategy! I had a P/B EPW so I just started a fight with it got a hit and forfeited. Then moved the EPW back into it's position. This lowered it's health and forced Emmigosa in second.

Zooeys wrote on 2017-09-14 17:50:01

A+. this is a great option, worked for me

T Scott wrote on 2017-09-20 11:53:03

Not sure if it matters but mine went down like this;

Crimson (SS)- Lift Off, Scorched Earth, Breath.

Proto ((PB) anyone else want a PB&J?) - Breath, Proto Strike, Pass

Emmigosa (PS) - Breath, possible 2nd Breath, Surge

LirameiRav wrote on 2017-09-22 08:42:39

T Scott, thanks. This works with PB Proto

Schahmaar wrote on 2017-09-23 04:12:09

Anonymous wrote on 2017-10-01 03:50:04

Absolutely nothing works here. I am with ThisDoesntWork - get one if you are going to post one. All my pets I tried were higher speed and they still got their asses handed to them.

Little wrote on 2018-01-05 13:19:38

Try high attack rather than high speed. Worked great for me with last pet having ~50% oh HP left by the end.

Rzzr wrote on 2017-11-01 15:12:23

this strategy is very rng reliant. If tail swipe doesn't crit it won't work.

Melann wrote on 2017-10-03 04:45:11

This worked for me the first go. Thank you. I had Yu'la (P/S), Infinate (P/P) and Bronze Whelp (H/P) if that information helps anyone.
