I wonder what its blood type might be. Maybe C for Corruption?

Needs a lot of RNG as SL pre patch, do not recommend.

Worked first try for me in shadowlands pre patch.

Failed twice in SL pp. The first time the last pet died on the last move, with boss having a lot of hp. Second time the last pet lived long enough to get in an extra tongue lash, but still died with the boss at like 60 hp. So maybe this strat is still viable with good RNG, but I moved on to a different strat that worked first time.

the strat listed wasnt working for me, i succeeded with this: Hopling by the book, with Crush on second round, Sister of Temptation next with Curse of Doom then Agony, followed by Terky with Stampede.

This one on the first try! Thanks.

Triser wrote on 2019-01-11 12:25:58

Please take Feral Vermling off the list of acceptable variants for the Hopling. The Feral Vermling (289) is not fast enough to beat the Corrupted Blood of Argus (291) and this does not work for the rest of the strat. Hopling has 325 speed and the strat will only with that.

Remte

Done, thank you for the reminder :)

Fengar wrote on 2018-10-02 22:05:03

Just beat it today with P/S Fiendish Imp 1/1/*, S/S Flayer Youngling 1/2/1, and B/B Ore Eater 1/1/1. The breeds can probably be changed as long as they're faster than the Blood, but these are the ones I used.
Start with Imp and use Immolation, get swapped to Ore.
Use Shell, Body Slam, then Acid and you'll be swapped to Flayer.
Deflection, Kick, and Blitz and you're swapped back to Imp.
Burn x3 and you die to his Gate, bring in Flayer.
Deflection, Kick, Blitz, Ore gets brought in.
Body Slam and die to Slime, bringing Flayer back.
Deflect, Kick, then Blitz and he will die.

Used S/S Dandelion Frolicker (2/*/1), Squirky (*/2/2), Harbinger of Flame (1/2/2)

Kick
Bite (forced to Squirky)
Bubble
Stampede (Forced to Harbinger)
Immolate
Conflagrate (Battle Over)

Anon wrote on 2018-09-10 08:20:57

I've tried every strategy for this which is posted here (whether main article or comments) where I have the pets named. None of them work. No pet seems able to get off the first shot vs Blood, which, in turn, is one- and two-shotting everything. Anyone have an updated strategy, which does not require any TCG pet and/or ones locked behind a Darkmoon achievement I can't seem to get? This site, by the way, is only as useful as it is current and accurate.

Thaïs wrote on 2018-04-13 20:57:24

Didn't have Terky and Harbinger didn't seem to do enough damage so I went with

Hopling
Kun-Lai Runt (p/p 2-2-2) and
Peddlefeet.

Started with Hopling just like in this strat plus Crush on second pass before he dies
Frost Shock > Deep Freeze > Takedown for Runt
Lovestruck and Shot Through The Heart with Peddlefeet - if he's not dead use Bow Shot to finish him off.

Anon wrote on 2018-09-10 08:14:46

Also not working at all as of this date. Blood is immune to Lovestruck and one- or two-shots every pet.

Anon wrote on 2018-09-10 08:05:25

Tried this many times today, failing each time. Backflip does not get off first, so Blood's first attack is not interrupted. Blood one- or two-shots every pet in this strategy. Deprecate.

B/B, H/B, and P/P. Four attempts and never got him below 1000HP. And the sequence of swaps didn't work as predicted, either. So I'm assuming other breeds might work, but those don't.

Clueless

wrote on 2018-08-20 17:22:28

Terky didn't work for me either. Switch him out for Squirky, x;2;2.
When Squirky gets switched in (like Terky) use Bubble and Stampede.
Tried five times, worked 5 times!

Lazzi

wrote on 2018-08-02 08:23:39

i found that after 10 failed tries that instead of doing Poision Lash at round 8 it was better to use Crush.

Redid the fight another 5 times and it seemed to work.
