At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Fast
This strategy has been built to be as fast as possible.
The strategy takes a while. Sit back, get yourself a warm drink and relax the scenery.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
Level 1+
You can use this strategy to carry a level 1 level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
TD Script
The strategy offers a TD script that can be used with the TD Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.

This a really great strategy - and so quick too - thanks for sharing.

If Itchy gets stunned by the first Soulrush, I have found it best to bring in the levelling pet at that point and then swap back to Demidos, so the levelling pet takes only minimal damage from Salty Bird's cyclone if it hits, and the change of events is of no real consequence. (edited)

This is a great fast strategy! And I'm not sure it ever can fail from both of your level 25 pets dying. The carry pet will however occasionally take some damage, so if it is level 1 there's a chance it will die.

I had some problems with the script above, with it several times playing suboptimally, and at one point getting stuck. I wrote a new script that should take into account a lot of RNG (for instance enemies getting stunned from Soulrush).

Don't knock it until you try it! The script might seem long, but it takes care of a lot of edge cases that you would only run into occasionally.

If you're talking about the formatting, this is the same script in a more condensed form. Makes it quite a bit harder to follow in my opinion.

i can't test it right now since bodhi isn't active but i'm certain there is a lot you could do to shorten the script
change(#3) [ self(#1).dead & self(#2).dead ] no need to swap to anything when self(#2) is dead, just quit the fight then
also i have played this strat a couple of times and the way i remember it there should be no way that the leveling pet takes any damage

On very rare occasions Servant of Demidos can get rooted by whirlpool a 2nd time. This causes pet swap to take place a bit later and can take dmg when that happens. But, it's so unlikely that it's better to restart the strat if it ever does happen AND the leveling pet doesn't survive.

I'm not sure that line is ever needed, but the reason I have the self(#2).dead switch in the script is because I use the repeatable Legion tamers both to level pets but also my characters. The carry pet can only die during the last few rounds of the battle, so I rather spend 1-2 more rounds to get character xp, than cancel the fight. But if you're only after pet xp "quit [self(#2).dead]" can be added to the top of the script.

In the instances where your Servant of Demidos is rooted, it's because you stunned the crab on the first turn, an easy fix that gets battle back on course is simply keep going and kill bird, after bird is dead crab will come back, switch to your leveling pet at this point, crab uses whirlpool, next turn just bring back SoD and skip level pet between crab and murloc.

in this scenario i would still keep the demidos in and kill the crab, swapping in the leveling pet right when the murloc uses the dance. that way you won't take extra damage with demidos from the surge. (one more reason i like leveling strats with explode :P)

The best part about this strat is you can actually go twice without healing.

Hello Furiouspanda. Thanks for commenting. You must have had some amazing good luck if that worked. There is so much RNG involved in this battle that I suspect it would be extremely rare to battle twice without healing. Better to just make multiple teams of the same pets and swap to next team between battles. Healing only after 2 - 3 teams have been used.

The PP Demidos might be making the difference. But it's the normal scenario that I can go twice without healing (after the first fight I have both pets above 70% hp). Gettings a stun or a bad string of crits can mess things up for sure, though.

Reworked the script, made strategy breed P/P Stormstruck specific. I think this is currently the fastest reliable strategy for this battle.

It's Pet Bonus Week so I wanted to do some testing on this strategy to see how it stacks up with the others for this pet leveling battle. Here are the results of 10 attempts with this strategy using the TD script:

Reliability: 100% - Zero failures.
Speed: 10 stopwatch timed battles from clicking begin to Leveling Pet XP ding. Exact times are below.
1) 1:22
2) 1:32
3) 1:26
4) 1:26
5) 1:31
6) 1:37
7) 1:27
8) 1:28
9) 1:25
10) 1:25

Pet Leveling: 2:52 is the average time to level a pet from level 1 to 25 using this strategy. That time includes the intro animation ,bandage and restart time between battles, until the leveling pet dings 25. Also, wearing safari hat, no pet treats used, no darkmoon hat used, and using the TD script.

After more extensive testing the average time to level a pet from 1 -25 is closer to 2:58 than the 2:52 I stated previously. Your mileage may vary :>)
