This strategy should be a lot more reliable than others I've tested. This has a small chance to fail if your Hermit Crab takes some critical hits and dies before Smokey does.
If that does happen, you can restart the fight with another Hermit Crab, if you've got more than one Rare Hermit Crab. Alternatively, you can be sneaky and log out, log onto another character that has bandages on them and heal your pets before switching back. EDIT: Updated TD script to include ID numbers for the stun and root. (Thanks DaBear78 for pointing that out.) Shadowlands Update: Still works. I think the enemy pets have been nerfed, because my Hermit Crab actually survived one turn LONGER than it used to. It could Pinch Pyro once before dying, after it already using Shell Armour and Whirlpool. I edited the script to only swap to your skitterling if there is no Elementium Bolt active. S/B Skitterling is still best if you have it, to ensure it lives to turn three of the updated Swarm. |

This was super hard! It took me a few tries due to RNG, and he despawns as soon as you beat him so it's hard to test. Thought I'd publish for everyone else who is missing Macabre Marionette, which seems to be a more reliable strategy. Good luck!!

I mangled most of my teams and spare pets doing the challenge mode dungeon. I had a hand full of pets left that could kill Infectus but would die to his invulnerability turn. With Stitched Pup we have Flurry and 2x heals and our own invulnerability turn if we get some bad RNG. A Flayer Youngling running 1/2/1 and deflecting Bolt, stunning on CD works for Anub Idols spot too, Thanks to DeJules Strategy for inspiring this when I thought I was doomed. Need to test validity of Rabid Strike, Flurry usage. Not sure TD would work since Deflection use is situational.

Scooter fights Smokey:
Prio 1: Shell Shield
Prio 2: Dive
Filler: Ooze Touch
Scooter should die before Smokey. Bring Barnaby and kill him with a Tornado Punch.
Barnaby fight Pyro:
Important: Keep Dodge to avoir the Bolt.
Spam Jab and Tornado Punch.
If Pyro gets stunned, or if Pyro dies, bring your Blighted Squirrel in.
Blighted Squirrel fight Infectus:
Prio 1: Scratch if borken defenses on Infectus.
Keep Crouch up.
Filler: Stampede.
If Pyro is still alive, try to stampede with the Squirrel and finish him with Barnaby and his rotation.

I made a few tweaks to the script that made it a bit more reliable for me.
1. Barnaby's dodge should only be used when Pyro's Elementium Bolt is one round away from hitting (dodging sooner won't avoid it). Thus I replaced:

2. Also, on that one round before Elementium Bolt hits, dodge should still be priority #1 even if Pyro is dead or swapped out (if you swap to your Chitterspine Skitterling on that round, it will get wrecked by the Elementium Bolt). Thus, I moved the Dodge higher in the script priority over attacks and swaps.
3. This one doesn't matter too much, but during Infectus's undead round, I prioritized passing over attacking in the script.

I added that because there seems to be some that this doesn't work for. Only thing I can think of is bad RNG and getting crit too much/hard. (edited)

Chitterspine always gets nuked by the Twilight Meteor. I get off 1 round of Swarm before he dies. Barnaby doesn't have enough punch to kill Infectus.
