The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!

Great Strat - went out and had to buy the Sen'jin Fetish - but worth it to see that boss SUFFER with those DOTS - what a difficult one to tick off for Family Fighter!!

First attempt, he crit my Boneshard.
Second attempt, he crit my Voodoo Figurine (swappped for Sen'Jin Fetish)
Third attempt with normal RNG and slight strat deviation it was successful. Instead of ending with flame breath, I reupped Wild Magic and sacrificed that pet. With my Ghastly Kid I simply hit Ethereal and let the dots do their thing.

Hope this helps!

This is a bit messy write-up but it works if you keep using hoof and have faith in the undead trait.

Mali wrote on 2017-09-08 11:54:06

I didn't have the fetish levelled, so I used Infected Squirrel, Mr. Bigglesworth and Bone Serpent.
Start with squirrel and pass,
Mr. Big comes in, Ice barrier and swap to Bone Serpent.
lift off,
call darkness, force swapped to Mr. Big.
Ice barrier and swap to Squirrel,
creeping fungus,
stampede, force swapped to Mr. Big.
Ice barrier, and swap to Bone Serpent.
Lift off,
Call darkness,
bone barrage and dead.
Mr big is left, ice barrier, PASS and then claw :)

Sella wrote on 2017-09-08 15:42:54

Just cause it took me forever to comb through for specs ;) It's Infected Squirrel (2,2,x), Mr. Bigglesworth (1,1,x), Bone Serpent (1,2,2). This strat worked perfectly for me! Thanks so much!

Nielha wrote on 2017-09-08 22:29:47

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-09 18:20:43

The Son of Sethe strat is probably a good edit to this as Call Darkness can make your own attacks miss, making the strat less reliable.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-10 21:25:30

I've tried this about 50 times and it hasn't worked.

Does *not* work with H/H Bone Serpent, which is the only one I have leveled up. It gets swapped in instead of Mr Bigglesworth.

Gildarin wrote on 2018-01-07 05:27:26

This does not work for me. Bigglesworth dies after killing Shadeflicker so no credit

Djbapt wrote on 2018-01-20 10:57:27

I didn't have neither Bone Serpent nor Son of Sethe, so I used Blighthawk, using Ghostly bite instead of calling Darkness.

Nikita wrote on 2018-02-16 15:08:00

I used a Frostwolf Ghostpup instead of Bone Sepent. I damaged it pre-fight to make sure that its health is lower than Bigglesworth by starting the fight, letting Frostwolf Ghostpup take the first hit and then forfeit. Using the above transcript i substituted turn 4-6 and 16-18 with Refuge, Scratch and Ghostly Bite. In order for this to work, Frostwolf Ghostpup has to have more than 530 health left in order to get swapped the fist try (so Claw cannot hit for more than 604).

Caroline wrote on 2018-06-06 09:20:18

I used the Son of Sethe swap and it worked beautifully. Finished with Mr. Bigglesworth at full health.

Wreathy#1185

I didn't have a bone serpent, but a Blighthawk (P/S) with Ghostly Bite in place of Call Darkness worked great!

Kathleene

wrote on 2018-04-08 20:51:56

Worked great! Not as detailed, but it worked, all the same. Boneshard was killed after casting Blistering Cold the first time. He rezzed but later died in the back line, so wasn't available for his second foray. At this point, Sen'jin was the only pet alive. He kept blasting Flame Breath until Ghastly Kid revived from Haunt. Sen'jin then died/rezzed/died & Kid was swapped in. He used Ethereal, and Shadeflicker died of his frost wounds. Yaaaa! Thanks, XuFu.

Arinei wrote on 2018-03-23 23:27:00

Subbed voodoo figurine 2/2/2 for fetish. Worked just the same, except instead of the fetish being forced in at round 5, the kid was forced in. I used hoof twice, done. :)

Askania

wrote on 2018-01-05 12:48:34

tried 2 times both times my kid was swapped in after boneshard died so I did ethereal and diseased bite twice, allowed fetish to survive and get shade dead from blister dots because he has too much health for flame breath to kill him, also when boneshard was up I did a bonestorm before I did chop on his death round.

Amandrix wrote on 2017-09-08 17:19:55

I just killed this with Unborn Val'kyr, Boneshard and Sen'jin Fetish using a modification of the stated shit. I have never used haunt btw. Only used shadow slash twice with the first pet, used him as a dummy for hits, blistering cold 3rd round, then wild magic / flame, then using dummy again, getting another blistering cold like 3rd round when he uses dodge, then both Unborn and boneshard dies and you finish him off with wild magic. Unfortunately I have no more pet logs, but this does not envolve RNG at all, it is 100% unless he crits you, you win it at the last round when sen'Jin dies and you cast Wild Magic again (he dies the round you died from blistering cold, and you revive again cuz undead and win it).

Xhanon wrote on 2017-09-15 19:17:48

Worked first try.

Esploratore wrote on 2017-10-23 22:16:04

For me it doesn't work at all, you didn't specify exactly the order, assuming they're in the same order val'kyr gets swapped out and can't do anything the first round, boneshard blistering, if I swap to sen'jin I can't do wild magic cause he dodges the round and then he swaps me out, if I get val'kyr I can't do anything with it and in the end it's not enough damage with the other abilities and if I stay on boneshard it's again not enough damage, it's not very clear what you did, tried every way I can think of, and didn't work.

Maaisha wrote on 2017-09-27 17:37:55

Macabre Marionette H/P 221
Boneshard B/B 111
Sen'Jin fetish P/P 221

Macabre Marionette pass

Boneshard in
Pass
Blistering cold
Pass

Senjin feitsh in
Wild Magic
Flamebreath

Marionette goes in, switch to boneshard
Blistering cold
pass (end of undead turn)

Dead Man party (you die)
Dead man party during undead turn, he dies

I tried this strategy twice and it worked both times.

Noel wrote on 2017-09-27 19:19:47

This was the most promising one; but the battle ended before the dots finished; looks like they trigger the undead death before the blistering cold damage now. The alternative 1 strat works ok though.

This worked for me on the first try! Thank you!

This works perfectly! The primary strat should use Ghastly Kid since it's not breed dependent. It only comes in H/H.

With Ghastly Kid first, yes, it's the right strat

Changed, hope I got the turns right from your description :-)

I'm confused. Using S/S Wicked Soul, when it uses "Haunt" it's considered dead, Boneshard is not forced in. Having trouble with this strat, manually putting Boneshard in after using Haunt. Am I doing something wrong or misunderstanding?

My version swapped in Voodoo Figurine for the Fetish, then
Turn 1 - Haunt
Turn 2 - Bring in Boneshard
Turn 3 - Blistering Cold
Turn 4 + 5 - Pass - Figurine forced in.
Turn 6 - Wild Magic
Turn 7 - Flame Breath
Turn 8 - Pass - Wicked Soul forced in
Turn 9 - Agony
Turn 10 - Pass
Turn 11 - Shadow Shock

Just tried again, dunno what I did that time but success. LOL I won't complain, thank you!

Was able to use Bone Serpent in place of Wicked Soul with Death and Decay and Lift-Off and it seemed to work out fine. When Bone Serpent gets swapped in, I just used Death and Decay during the dodge round, Lift-Off 1 round from Void Gate, and I used Bone Barrage after that. Ended up killing him with Chop the same round Boneshard died on his first life.

Thank you so much for this! Worked on the first round for me.

I'm sure you need a S/S Wicked Soul for this to work, don't have it so I can't test it.

Squish wrote on 2017-09-06 17:42:53

Yep, it's required.

FYI - Used S/S Wicked Soul, worked perfectly as above.

Zithras wrote on 2017-09-06 15:40:54

Does not work with P/S Wicked Soul B/B Boneshard P/P Sen'jin fetish. All pets have lower speed, and the double dodge on the wicked soul means no shocks hit.

This must be very RNG bc I tried it at least 10 times and still haven't gotten it yet
