TDScript revision (better to explode when Apexis Guardian revives, rather than on a hard turn 4.)

ability(299)
change(Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling) [self(Chrominius).dead]
ability(779) [self.round=2]
ability(282) [enemy(Apexis Guardian).aura(244).exists]
ability(115)

Edit: adjusted to Thunderbolt on MPD's round 2 so that it does more damage.

TDScript revision (better to do Thunderbolt when Apexis Guardian not have aura Flying Mark, rather than on a hard turn 2.)

Note! It is only 4 lines, not 5.
Note! I did not write orginal TD Script.

:)

ability(Explode) [enemy.aura(Mechanical).exists]
ability(Thunderbolt) [!enemy.aura(Flying Mark).exists]
ability(#1)
change(#2)

Excellent script revision, as the original doesn't always work, thank you!

Zalid responded on 07/12/2017

Came on here to say that exploding on turn 4 does not guarantee that the Guardian has ressed. Tried out the above script from anon, and it works lovely. Thanks :-)

Booker wrote on 02/07/2017

Just tried this strategy ... worked absolutely fine except for the Levelpet not leveling at all.

Solarandra responded on 02/09/2017

I just did it and my level pet went from level 9 - level 23

Saintgabrial wrote on 11/16/2016

Another way to do this one with the same pets, but finish it faster and level a lvl 1+ pet.
Start with Chrominius
Turn 1 Arcane Explosoin.
Turn 2 Arcane Explosoin.
Turn 3 Arcane Explosoin.
Turn 4 Arcane Explosoin.
Turn 5 Arcane Explosoin.
Turn 6 Arcane Explosoin. (The Great Kaliri Dies here if not one more Arcane Explosoin will do).
Apexis Guardian comes out.
Turn 7+ spam Arcane Explosion until Chrominius is dead. Normally 2 times.
Bring in Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling.
Turn 1 Thunderbolt. Darkwing dies in the back row if Chrominius didn’t take it out earlier.
Turn 2-3 Breath until Apexis Guardian dies for the first time and then comes back.
Turn 4 Explode
Your Leveling pet will get all the EXP for being the only one left.

That is wonderfully simple :-) I changed the strategy accordingly, thank you very much!

Saintgabrial responded on 11/21/2016

You're welcome. I've been doing this strategy here for a long time and figured I'd share it.

Kakjens responded on 12/06/2016

Surge of Power as second spell after Apexis Guardian activates half of the time allows to finish the fight faster.

Morbink responded on 12/22/2016

I use breath once after switch to apexis guardian so that flying mark fades and he takes increased thunderbolt damage.

Saintgabrial responded on 12/26/2016

Morbink, that works beautifully. I also added that move to the rotation.

Thanks Morbink

Macgam responded on 01/04/2017

Without a heal or two or three Chrominius usually dies before Kaliri and often with the backline still intact. Adding Ancient Blessing in R2 and then roughly on cd, has helped me out on this strat. Similar to Lil'Rag strat now that I finally have him - merry xmas to me.

Wouldy wrote on 11/08/2016

I use this one [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=87123/vesharr#comments:id=2270124] which has worked for me everytime:

-Carry pet (no level requirement)
-Nexus Whelpling (P/P or P/B) with Mana Surge and Arcane Storm
-Arcane Eye with Psychic Blast, Drain Power and Mana Surge

Attack once with your carry pet and swap to Nexus Whelpling.

1. Arcane Storm
2. Mana Surge
3. Mana Surge continues (The Great Kaliri dies)
4. Mana Surge continues
5. Arcane Storm (this hits during Feathered Frenzy for a decent chunk of damage)

At this point, Nexus Whelpling dies from Entangling Roots. Swap in Arcane Eye.

6. Psychic Blast (this will also hit during Feathered Frenzy and should do enough damage to activate Failsafe)
7. Drain Power
8. [Optional] Psychic Blast (this or the first hit of Mana Surge will finish off Apexis Guardian)
9. Mana Surge

Evil responded on 11/12/2016

2x Nexus Whelpling (P/S) work very well too :P (P/P and then P/S also works)

I am leveling pets like this since WoD, for both Spires and Talador, always works.
Just in Talador u need to open with Mech or Magic Pet, or some that can survive 1st hit :)

Anonymous wrote on 10/31/2016

If you use ravage for slot 3 on chrom, you can use it to get a head start on the apexis if you make it overlap

Warkai wrote on 09/05/2016

I have only had this happen twice but if you get very bad luck your chromi can die in wrong order. I held off on decoy then so it would eat entangling roots if I had used it too early it would have blocked two batter while letting thru the big hit and i would have lost.

Remte wrote on 06/26/2016

Managed to time Surge of Power perfectly before the Chrominius' death. Helped a lot, as it landed on the Guardian's frenzy buff, bringing it to the failsafe.

It requires a lot of observation and no less of luck, though. Still a nice thing to know. :)

Gráinne wrote on 05/14/2015

Indeed MPD is a perfectly good second pet.

Start with Level Pet - use one simple ability.
Chrominius Arcane Explosion spam, with Ancient Blessing at every opportunity.
MPD when Chrominius dies. Use Decoy to prevent the damage from Entangling Roots, otherwise Thunderbolt when available and Breath otherwise.

responded on 05/23/2015

MPD is a great alternative! Added this strat now :-) Thanks so much!

Senescence responded on 09/10/2016

This strategy does not work at all anymore.

responded on 09/10/2016

Just did it and works flawlessly. Where exactly did you run into a problem?

Mia responded on 09/25/2016

Strategy still works fine.

beetfield responded on 10/27/2016

When I first read that, I thought the poster meant cast Decoy as soon as I brought MPD in, and I lost the battle...he means use Decoy when Apexis Guardian casts Entangling Roots, not before. It makes a pretty big difference :)
