Only the most relentless of pets remained with the Wastewalker. That is because he always tries to Shu them away.

Hazel on YT has a 7.0 strat for a level 1 carry pet. Using Syd the squid, and legion owls or chrominius. might want to include it. it's long but all you do is bubble and tital wave spam, then howl bomb at the end.

RabidPenguin responded on 12/13/2016

Use Syd the Squid and any Owl from Broken Isles with Call Darkness and Nocturnal Strike. Tidal wave
Tidal Wave
Bubble
Tidal until bubble is off CD
Bubble
Tidal until dead
Swap in any Level 1+ level pet
Swap in Owl
Call Darkness
Nocturnal strike
Filler if needed until finished.

With a minor tweak and using Syd, 2-1-x, and Gilnean Raven, 2-2-1, this line-up NEVER fails me! Use Syd as described but once Syd dies, bring in Gilnean Raven to take the one round of damage Crusher deals (cast Call Darkness for your turn), THEN bring in level pet, then back to Gilnean Raven...one alpha strike and one nocturnal strike and fight is over!

Iside note: if moth balls is a required atrack, you cannot just use "any moth." Only some of them have that attack.

Yes, that is true. There are so many moths and a few of them use different moves. The majority however uses the standard one, and I just haven't come up with a good way to display "Any Moth except X, Y and Z" :/

Remte responded on 07/31/2016

Oh, that's a complex story, but actually with not too fuzzy conclusion. Before WoD the only moths with custom movesets could be found on the Timeless Isle. The original one, required here, was introduced straight with 5.0 and applies to all moths dwelling around Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms aswell as "core" continent of Pandaria.

So that's it. Then the Skywisp's Moth moveset was reintroduced with Draenic moths with an exception of Royal Moth that has a certain change. But that isn't important here. :P

I tested the Chi-Chi strat today. It's similar to my usual battle against Shu, except that you start with the carry pet, whereas I usually drop him in when Pounder dies.

Anyway, I played it exactly as specified, and I did win that way, but because of Sandstorm RNG I had two misses, and Pounder killed Chi-Chi, leaving the Tonk to take a knee from Pounder before Mutilator came out. Since Pounder had his Rupture up, the Tonk could have been stunned.

I could have saved Chi-Chi by using an Ethereal, or even a Tranquility, during what you have listed as "Turn 6+. Alpha Strike until Pounder dies". Perhaps a note to that effect might help beginners who follow instructions exactly. OTOH, as I say, it all worked out. :)

Alternative 1Alternative 1Alternative 1Pets used in this fight:

1. Any Moth
2. Chrominius
3. Darkmoon Tonk

This fight gives high EXP for level pets. Good strategy to get the fight done with pets easy to acquire. This strategy leaves no room for a level pet.
2Alternative 2Alternative 2Pets used in this fight:

1. Any Level 5+ Pet
2. Red Cricket
3. Chrominius

This fight gives high EXP for level pets. Great strategy to level your pets, if you have the Red Cricket available!
3Alternative 3Alternative 3Pets used in this fight:

1. Any Level 5+ Pet
2. Chi-Chi, Hatchling of Chi-Ji
3. Darkmoon Tonk

This fight gives high EXP for level pets. Another even nicer strategy that only works if you have Chi-Chi.
4Alternative 4Alternative 4Pets used in this fight:

1. Sprite Darter Hatchling
2. Darkmoon Zeppelin
3. Any Level 7+ Pet

This fight gives high EXP for level pets. I changed the Missile to Flyby for I've noticed sometimes you get a crit with missile and kill Mutilator before you get to explode. But one flyby and its bonus to Damage should be more than enough for explode to finish the fight. Edit by Saintgabrial
